Brisbane - Friday 21st

This morning was a lazy morning spent using the internet and catching up with people which was very nice! We have planned a nice meet up with Anita when we get home! (Hi Anita first mention on the blog whoo) we had no plans until 12:30 when we were going to Camria to visit Liam and Henning from our G-Adventures trip across America! We drove down and had a lovely catch up and lunch with them both before having a drive around the local area. It was great to finally meet the rest of the family and catch up after such a long time!

 It was surprising how many things we had forgotten that we had done in America already! Good thing we have this spiffing little blog to remind us hey? 

With that we had to make a move back home for 4 because we had an invite to a party! Amy who we are staying with in brisbane invited us to a board game party with some of her friends. Laura loving board games so much jumped at the chance! We were very kind and offered to drive there to save getting the train! This required making a space in the car.. Currently so we can see out the back of the car we have 2 seats flat and our car fridge on the other! We decided it was best amy went in the front and Laura sat where the fridge should have been! This was very squishy but luckily it was only a short drive. We had a great evening playing 3 different games that we had never even heard of before! The first was called diXit. You were given a series of cards and had to describe the card using one word and the other players had to play a card others would vote on to match the description. It's like balderdash but much easier! Big bonus is the cards were so detailed and pretty! Amy won that game and even Myles finished before Laura! 

The second game was funny and called apples to apples where you got a word like 'tough' and had to match one of your words to describe it. The winning word that round was Bruce Willis by Laura. We played this game twice once with reverse rules and Laura won that game!

After apples dinner arrived, we had all ordered in a curry which was nice. We could choose the flavour & meat with the spicyness which Myles liked very much! Mild butter chicken was chosen and devoured! Along with a garlic Naaahn! Our last game was very confusing & stupid I couldn't even remember the name of it! Basically 2 people were spies and you had to figure it out by talking to people.. Myles knew without even trying that I was a spy because I can't lie for my life.. This made it an easy game but somehow the spies still won! Hurrah? I think.. 

With that we headed back home as it was gone 10. Easy day so much fun and lovely to spend some time with some old and new people :)

For this reason alone we have really enjoyed our couch surfing experience!
