11 o'clock came and went, still no Greyhound bus in sight. 20 past and one arrive hurrah let's on the first 10 passengers and leaves again. Oh.
So we have to wait an hour for a delayed bus for reasons we will never understand. Half 12 arrived and we were on our way to LA we settled down for the night shift, got as comfy as we could and had a sleep, it got to about 4 in the morning and Myles was awake, not being able to get back to sleep properly because it was just too uncomfortable so just drifted in and out while Laura managed to sleep until about half 7 when it was light again. We arrived at the Los Angeles greyhound terminal and had no idea what to do next. We came across a very helpful information lady that couldn't speak much English so we thanked her very much and proceeded to find someone English. This turned out to be a security guard in the carpark. He told us what bus to get which we proceeded to get. Being the lonely lost tourists with big rucksacks the bus driver took pity on us and let us on for free! He dropped us off at the subway stop, explaining where to go and what bus to get! Very helpful fellow indeed. We worked out this subway system as every city is different and found where to go. It's quite simple once you know what your doing its just working the dam thing out to begin with. This isn't helped with Myles' incompetence and hatred for public transport. After a free shuttle bus to the terminal we arrived. We tried to check in using the self service things but we were a little early again. This time we were 12 hours early and the computer said we aren't allowed to check in yet. so it's the waiting game again. For those who don't know we changed our flights and moved them forward a week so we had a week less in the US and a week more in Fiji for one its much cheaper and for another it's a little nicer so we now have 3 weeks there. Lunch has been done and is digesting while Laura is asleep (again) this time she wrote a bit of blog! Well the first paragraph anyways but I'll let her off as she worked out the pubic transport today 😇 so while she is sleeping I'll think of some games we can play in the terminal, I think we will go terminal hopping to have a walk around, probably play on some escalators for a while and maybe some expert level hide and seek.
Still 10 hours to go so we will have to busy ourselves somehow....
Will let you know how bored we got in the next blog. love to all speak to you from Fiji next!
