Tuesday 30th

Today we were up bright and early as today is a very special day. We get to leave this hostel! Yay! We went to breakfast and had 2 doughnuts and a piece of bread. There was porridge but it looked like lumpy milk, I asked to confirm this and apparently it was indeed porridge. We slept a little better last night, probably because we were just so tired but we will still have a good nap on the beach before our boat comes. We have booked the same boat that brought us here to take us back to Nadi. (The mainland). Tatjana and Laura (the German girls) we had met the other day stayed another night as they got a private room free of charge. They wished they hadn't, their bed was riddled with bed bugs so they moved back to the dorm! It was another rubbish night sleep for them. We got to the beach and sunbathed for a while until our boat came. We had forgotten to check out as we were on 'Fiji time' they didn't like that much. We hopped on the boat as they were refuelling  and waited for the driver to turn up, a Fijian asked me to pull forward a bit so he could get the anchor up but he managed to do it before I started the engines. I was still in the drivers seat when the driver got onboard (20 mins later) and I asked if I could drive. He didn't take this as a joke and I found my seat with my tail between my legs... We flew to nadi at quite a rate of knots as the sea was very calm and got to our hostel. This was the same one we stayed in before we went island hopping and we booked 2 nights before we left. They had no recollection of this so check in took a good half hour and they wanted us to pay $16fjd per night! We refused as we were told it was $12 a night and we weren't  going to pay for their cock up. After a long heated argument in Fijian the staff agreed to upgrade us and we would only pay $12 per night, that's better. We got to our room and got chatting to the people in it. After this we went down to grab some wifi and update this marvellous blog for you all to read. We did lots of Internet things and headed for dinner. We had sweet and sour pork and spaghetti. A complementary carrot soup came and again Myles had 2 portions haha! We had found Tatjana and Laura from the mana resort and had dinner with them. They ordered after us and they finished their dinner before ours arrived. Myles thought this was not right so had a trip to the kitchen to meet the chef. Myles returned and 2 mins later we had our dinner. Being rather tired Laura headed for bed while Myles stayed up for half an hour talking to Andrew. Battery dying I went to bed to a rather good nights sleep! Well better than the last 4 nights anyway!!!
