So day one on our tour across the USA.
We met all the people in the group we will be travelling with and everyone seems really nice and really up for it!

We did a fair bit of driving today and had an awesome cheesesteak in Philadelphia at our first rest stop. After a fairly long drive we tramped from New York through to New Jersey Philadelphia, Denver, Maryland, Baltimore to finish up where we are now in Washington. We had lovely weather all day and just as we went to put up the tents (yes we are tenting) we had a lovely shower of rain which wasn't that cold but got the tents up anyway. When we got dressed this morning it wasn't that warm so we elected for jeans these were taken off rather quickly when we got the tents up its so muggy here it feels like 100% humidity! We are just tucking into dinner now prepared by the food group (which included Laura) sat outside in shorts and a shirt and are lovely and warm. I've eaten the dinner (stopped writing the blog while I ate dinner) was a lovely garlic pasta in white sauce. I think we are going to light a fire in a bit and cook up some marshmallows! I think that's about it for the day so far will let you know tomorrow what we get up to as always, bye for now....
