Tent up still no rain luckily and then onto dinner. We had stir fry which was pretty good so onto starting a fire for Myles which along with loading up the trailer has become his domain. Very damp ground, logs and sticks didn't make for easy foraging or starting the fire but after about half an hour got going enough to put the big logs over it to get it going properly. Asked for some help balancing the logs above the fire and Liam dropped it on top of Myles' tipi of sticks! ><
It was still going just Hemming gave him a hand rebuilding and got it going again! We finally had a full fire and we were rather glad as it was getting a little chilly!
After it was s'mores YUM!
We started to play articulate all writing famous names onto paper and grouping up trying to describe them without saying their name. A few names being Obama, the queen of England, Pamela Anderson, Lady Gaga and Myles' input of Lewis Hamilton of course!
The second round we could only use one word with the same names and the last round which was the best you had to act it out. This ended up with Myles holding his fake boobs running around the camp fire being Pamela Anderson, the Queen being mistaken for Lewis Hamilton and the description of Lady Gaga being that crazy singer lady the ALEHANDRO. All good fun!
Today we had a big long drive to Nashville it took about 5 hours and we crossed a timezone meaning we gained an hour :)
So we arrived in Nashville and had a little wonder around the town took a look in the Hard Rock Café. After that we chilled by the river and took another wonder down a few side streets off broadway. We ended up in a Harley Davidson shop looking at bikes, popped into hooters and ended up in a HUGE retro sweet shop! It had all sorts of sweets and drinks very lovely and appetising! We carried on looking around the town taking in the sights and a living statue which Myles had a photo with.
After this we came across all the One Direction fans waiting for a concert and decided to check the time and with 10 minutes till pick up headed back to the van.
We got to camp to find out it was Jelly Stone campsite based on Yogi Bear. Everything was Yogi Bear themed from the toilet door signs to the big Yogi bear dressed up wondering the park... Tent up in the sweltering heat, bags dumped we all headed straight for the pool. We started with 3 of us playing piggy in the middle this then turned into 8 of us playing 'street piggy' in the middle which resulted in Eigor's shorts getting ripped and many people getting pushed and dunked under the water!
We all got a little exhausted after a while and decided to play shoulder wars which equally didn't end well. Shoulder wars then developed into seeing if we could get 3 people on shoulders which we did with Alex, Josh and Nikki. Then we tried to make a pyramid with me on top! :S
I sat on Myles and Liam's shoulders and they went on Josh, Eigor and Ollie's shoulders and we just managed to make the pyramid and get a photo!
By the time it took to make the pyramid it was time to head back to camp for dinner and it was Myles' group turn to cook! On the menu today was burgers chips and corn on the cob! And oh my was it yummy, Myles took the manly position of making and cooking the burgers and everyone else prepped the table and cooked onions, chips and corn.
After this we had a chilled evening chatting watching the fireflies around the camp site.
Myles must have felt right at home with the camp fire, just need to find him some grass to cut now!! Dont envy you all that camping, dreading doing it myself next weekend. Loving the daily updates. Keep up the good work. Missing you lots. Mum.Xx
