So today we had a rather short drive only 3 hours or so. We stopped in San-Antonio To have a look at the Alamo square, it was the scene of an intense battle that killed many people. We then had a river walk for a couple of hours. It's a river that runs through the city centre, through hotels and restaurants it was beautiful. The whole area is built around this river and there are stunning man made waterfalls dotted around. We had a little rest in one of the malls where the river runs through and WALL.E came out because his film was on! So he watched that for a little while. Later on we met up with our fellow tentists and had a short drive to our campsite. It's stunning here facilities are rather basic but we had a good swim in the warm river which was so refreshing after the 36 degree heat of the day. As for the rest of the day it's the same old story really dinner cooked by group 2 tonight which was a delightful chille con carné and smores for pudding. (I think that's how they are spelt) I would ask Laura but she's asleep! We have an early start tomorrow it's a long driving day about 9 hours however we change timezones again so it's infact 8 hours! We are starting to get more and more into the countryside now and the landscape is just getting better and better. Not long before the Grand Canyon now and other national parks!
This is the view from our tent unfortunately it was getting dark when I took this but you get the idea! Wish you were all here too see it aswell as us... Hopefully ill get some time to do the gallery tomorrow and also update the WALL.E page, he really has been busy!
Bye from us for today xx
San Antonio sounds quite amazing. Hope you were able to take some pickies for us to see later. Looking forward to seeing Wall.e again too. The next leg of the journey sounds exhausting, .do you have just the one driver ? If so he jolly well earns a round of applause.
